The office of the Clerk of District Court is located in the Madison County Courthouse on the first floor of the building.
Use of the Public Computer is on a first come first served basis. The computer is located in the hallway outside the Clerk's office.
The public may now search our computer data base for records at the link below. If you wish to look at the documents within a certain case you will still need to either come to the public computer, located at our office, or you can call/email or write and request them be emailed or printed for the mandated fees per MCA 25-1-201. https://courts.mt.gov/Courts/portals
ATTORNEYS: Per Local Court Rule 3.1 - All cases shall be filed using e-filing unless specifically exempted. (1) All pro se litigants and DP (probate), DG (guardianships), DF (paternity), and DA (adoption) cases cannot be e-filed at this time. MARRIAGE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ON MONDAYS. Marriage License Application are accepted Tuesday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. Marriage Licenses will not be processed the week of May 9th, 2022. Please have your marriage license application filled-out prior to arriving at the courthouse. See link on left for form to fill-out and print.
